--- M40 Noise Barriers ---

After a very long campaign by the M40 Chilterns Environment Group and with the backing of Wycombe District Council, Highways England will shortly announce a fully funded programme for the installation of noise barriers along sections of the M40 between Junction 3 and Junction 5. At a cost of more than £M4.5, the project will include a significant section adjacent to Flackwell Heath as well as installations along the viaduct at Loudwater and just beyond near Wooburn Moor all of which should benefit the residents of Flackwell Heath. Installation is planned to commence in October this year and is expected to take about 6 months.
