We are
the 3rd Women's Institute to have been formed in the village
and hold our meetings on the 1st Wednesday of every month,
apart from August, when we arrange something different.
We meet in the Sarney Room at the Community Centre from
10.00am to 12 noon and usually have a speaker who talks
on subjects as varied as travel and history, Scannappeal
or a Bucks Bobby, sometimes illustrated by slides or a demonstration.
Our
present membership numbers 50, with a small waiting list,
but visitors are welcome and pay £1.00 per meeting.
The annual subscription is £17.50 and for 20p you
can have a tea or coffee and delicious cakes at each meeting
and a small raffle and sales table help to raise funds.
Our group is friendly, reasonably active and we try to make
all newcomers welcome.
